Greensboro Roller Derby (GSORD) is a vibrant and dynamic flat track roller derby league. GSORD is dedicated to promoting the sport of roller derby, providing a supportive environment for its skaters and fostering a culture of athleticism, community and inclusiveness. GSORD was founded on February 3, 2010. From the ground up, a group of strong-willed, dedicated, beautiful humans have turned what was once a dream for many, into a reality. In July 2012, Greensboro was accepted as a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Apprentice Program and became a full member of the WFTDA in June 2013. In 2020, GSORD celebrated a decade. At the same time the world changed and many roller derby leagues went under. We were lucky to have a dedicated group of phoenix-like members that rose from the ashes and kept the dream of roller derby alive in the community.
